Te Arai

Vivian Construction led the build of the North Clubhouse at Te Arai Links, a striking timber-framed facility overlooking the Pacific Ocean. The building features a pro shop, concierge bar, and dining area, all crafted from a mix of exotic and native timbers including Greenheart, Iroko, Heart Mataī, and Cedar. The design avoids steel framing entirely, showcasing natural materials and refined detailing throughout.

Client: Te Arai Golf Club (Te Arai Links)

Main Contractor: Vivian Construction

Prodigy Plumbing Gas & Drainage delivered comprehensive hydraulic and gas services for the clubhouse’s hospitality and service spaces. Our scope included installation of external water and gas mains, internal hot and cold water reticulation, waste pipework, sanitary venting, roof terminal vents, and precision second-fix plumbing. We also managed gas installations for the commercial kitchen and an outdoor firepit.

The project required close coordination with Vivian Construction, Wildfire Commercial Kitchens, and architectural teams to meet the high-performance and aesthetic standards of this landmark coastal development.

Luke Siddins, Vivian Construction:

“The key project that stands out was the North Clubhouse at Te Arai Links where Prodigy was engaged to do the plumbing and gas works. Key strengths would have to be the knowledge and capabilities of the onsite team from the youngest apprentice all the way up the chain. Everyone understood the work they were doing and were able to complete their work to a high standard with full consideration of the architectural requirements and high level of detailing throughout the project.”
